U.S. solar energy sector jobs dropped for a second consecutive year in 2018, according to a new industry report.

The Solar Foundation said 8,000 jobs were lost last year, on top of 10,000 the year before.

In part, the report blames the decline on President Trump’s trade policies, which slapped tariffs of 30 percent on solar equipment imports early last year.

CGTN’s Kevin McAleese reports.
