The Village of Montgomery will be holding a solar energy forum later this month.

The forum is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00 P.M. at Village Hall on N. River St. where guest speakers will include representatives from ComEd, Seven Generations Ahead and the Citizens Utility Board.

Topics of discussion will include how to apply for a solar permit, the available incentives that are currently being offered, how solar panels will affect property assessment and much more.

Officials in the village have said solar array permitting has increased and solicitors to install solar have become more frequent. Those who may be interested in solar energy for a residential or commercial application are encouraged by village officials to attend.

Officials also say that there are many incentives for installing solar arrays in Illinois, and the village intends for this event to provide answers questions regarding those incentives.

The forum is free and open to the public.
